Markes & Co. KG Lüdenscheid Germany (better known as DUX).

In 1904 the company was founded with the name of Markes & Co. KG in the technical toy factory of Küdenscheid and they began the contract production for the metal construction on behalf of Walther & Co.
In 1932 the production of metal DUX kits began with which it was possible to build cars, airplanes both static and mechanical.
In 1935 there was an interesting period in which DUX built optical toys with moving images (in imitation of the cinema).
Between 1948 and 1965 "mechanical builder" type boxes were produced with pieces painted in various colors.
In 1962 the production of the DUX-Technic plastic kit began, always in the wake of the "mechanical manufacturer", with a "snap button" attachment system.
From 1964 until 1982, the year of the cessation of the activity, only the Auto DUX brand existed, with a series of metal car assembly boxes (mainly Volkswagen), with modular joints. To date, all these models are highly collectible and sought after by model makers.
